Fruits can be a great source of carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals for diabetic but of course it should be chosen very carefully. Most of them will be low in sodium and fat although it can contain more carbohydrate than vegetables. The best choice of fruits must be fresh fruits but people can also get a great option of plain frozen fruits or canned sugar with no sugar added. Jam or preserves can be chosen but it should be low sugar or sugar free. Applesauce with no sugar addition will be friendly choice for diabetic for sure.



Diabetics have various kinds of choice for protein source which they can choose. Nevertheless, there are some best options which people should include in their diet if they have diabetes. Diabetic can get great support from protein which is based on plants such as tofu, seeds, nuts, as well as beans. Fish and seafood of course can also be considered as the best choice of protein source. Poultry including chicken is great choice as well and if it is possible, they should choose the breast meat.
